Part of the international collaborative network

The Finnish Association for Mental Health (FAMH) is a member of many key international organizations specializing in mental health, suicide prevention, crisis helpline, family therapy, rehabilitation, social policy, poverty and exclusion prevention, traumatic stress research and conflict resolution, as well as the care of the elderly.

The principal international partners for the FAMH are the World Federation for Mental Health, WFMH and Mental Health Europe.

On the international suicide prevention day, the 10th  September, the FAHM provides education to people involved in mental health work connected to the theme and brings forth the importance of preventive work with the help of the media.

The FAMH has promoted the World Mental Health Day, the 10th October, in Finland by inviting other organisations and private individuals to join in the events of the day and by granting an annual mental health award.
